Hi Maryanne. Take a look at my blog this week in which I have discussed the issue of contact between grandparents and their grandchildren. I hope this provides some useful information as a starting point for you. In terms of the second part of your question, there are lots of issues to canvass around a parent’s rights when they are not living with their child and I will be blogging about parenting rights in the future so be sure to check back. Please feel free to contact myself or my team for a chat about these issues on (09) 297 2010 or by completing the contact form on our website, http://www.familylawresults.co.nz. We would love to assist you with this issue if we are able to. Thanks for your query, Selina.

      Hi Lee

If you refer to the post of 4 April 2011 you will find an explanation of how pricing is set by lawyers and some of the different options available. If an hourly rate is used, this can vary depending on the lawyer from anywhere between $180 – $300 and higher. It’s really something you need to discuss with any lawyer you approach as early as possible.

      Thanks for your query, Selina.
